Formal charges have been brought against two men in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were subsequently released.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
