The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts considerable online audience
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known backers when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses several courses worldwide and often plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply stay calm."
"He practically advised me to compete and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has played in only three events recently and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
But she's able to receive tips from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive human being. He told me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, such as second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, specifically reaching youth audiences.
The young star maintains a massive following and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
