The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
