Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A jet ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.
This incident is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington after encountering a technical issue.
