FC Barcelona to Host Inaugural Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
